What is it for?
Overall objective: To promote the social inclusion of 50 vulnerable pregnant young women and immigrant mothers in Lisbon: Results – 50 beneficiaries covered; 50 beneficiaries better equipped for personal, family and professional autonomy; 25 beneficiaries with individual needs met; 50 satisfied beneficiaries.
Specific objectives:
Respond to the individual monitoring and support needs of 25 vulnerable pregnant young women and immigrant mothers: Results – 25 beneficiaries with individual monitoring throughout the project (10 hours) and social and labour market integration plans implemented/individual needs met; 25 beneficiaries satisfied with individual monitoring/needs met;
Empower 50 pregnant young women/immigrant mothers for personal, family and professional autonomy: Results – 50 beneficiaries participating in the project’s collective sessions (workshops and sharing group); 50 beneficiaries with key skills acquired – positive parenting, citizenship and culture, employability, health and well-being; other learning;
Raise awareness among 25 representatives of immigrant organisations/associations and society in general to support vulnerable pregnant young women/immigrant mothers: Results – Co-construction and dissemination of 2 awareness-raising resources – inspiring stories and leaflets – 25 immigrant organisations/associations (mailing list) and the general public (social networks/website).
Who is it for?
Direct beneficiaries: Social inclusion of vulnerable immigrant mothers in Lisbon through integrated responses providing holistic support, individualised monitoring and personal, family/parental and professional training.
How?
5 key activities:
1 Public Project Presentation Session (A1) to inform and mobilise entities/communities in identifying beneficiaries;
10 individual follow-up sessions with beneficiaries for diagnosis, preparation and implementation of Social and Labour Market Integration Plans (A2), with support solutions in different areas of life (justice, health, language, childcare, employment, etc.);
10 Workshops (A3), including collective sessions for the development of key skills (in English/other widely spoken language) – positive parenting, citizenship and culture, employability, health and well-being, among other topics to be defined with beneficiaries;
Facilitation of a Sharing Group (A4) for immigrant mothers to share their experiences, with 12 collective sessions;
Dissemination of Awareness Resources (A5) – online dissemination of products, scaling up impact to professionals/immigrants/society: stories of inspiring women (sharing group) and informative leaflets with practical empowerment tips.
