Day 3: Climate action adventure: eco-heroes in Lisbon

  • Embark on day-long field trip focused on everyday climate action 

Day 4: Making a Difference: Small-scale Projects with Large-scale Impact

  • Climate action in all subject areas 
  • Empowering teachers: strategies for everyday climate engagement 
  • Engaging every member of the school community 

Day 5: The power of small initiatives for significant changes

  • Embracing green school principles – let’s be eco

Hands-On Approaches to Climate Action Training 

Throughout the course, attendees will actively participate in hands-on group activities, deliver concise presentations covering theoretical content, engage in storytelling, collaborate in group dynamics, explore the power of music, images, and videos, and share valuable pedagogical resources and practical case studies. Additionally, guided cultural excursions and visual aids will enrich the overall learning journey.

Almudena Ferro

Master's degree in Social Work, Welfare State, and Social Intervention Methodologies, with over nine years of professional experience in the field of community social intervention, in Portugal and Spain. Interested in social change projects, she has mainly worked in the areas of education, inclusion, human rights, children and youth, volunteering, and migration, as a technician and coordinator of social projects. As a certified trainer, she has created and implemented training programs aimed at volunteer networks, teachers, educators, and youth workers in the fields of interculturality, inclusion, and diversity management in educational contexts, both nationally and internationally.

Rute Machado

Master's degree in Educational Sciences, specializing in Educational Administration, and a bachelor's degree in Educational Psychology. Full member of the Portuguese Psychologists Association. Certified and accredited trainer for teacher training. She has experience since 2005 in community intervention, particularly in school settings, focusing on the development of personal, social, academic, and civic awareness programs for children and young people. Developed and implemented training programs for teachers, social workers, and volunteers, promoting academic success and education for development and global citizenship. Believes in positive change through respect and equality for all.

Camila Brito
Erasmus KA1 courses

Camila Brito

Project technician and intercultural mediator, currently pursuing a Master's degree in International Relations, she has experience in youth projects at both national and international levels. She worked as a technician in the FOCO Project, conducting group sessions with young people in educational settings, aiming to promote self-awareness and develop soft skills among vulnerable youth, thus preventing school dropout and other risky behaviors, and enhancing academic success. She also facilitated the Erasmus+ Tools for YOU*! project alongside the LCF team and the Lisbon Youth Center. Additionally, she has experience in organizing Portuguese and literacy courses, as well as informal conversation groups for migrant and refugee populations.
