BIG IDEAS IN LISBON was a programme of conferences and cultural events organised by the Foundation to complement existing projects aimed at the social and cultural integration of all communities in Lisbon, thus establishing the Foundation as a space for meeting, cultural exchange, debate, sharing ideas and promoting understanding among all.
In 2017, the Big Ideas in Lisbon programme hosted the debate ‘A Collision of 21st Century Technology & Literature’. Attended by award-winning authors Debra di Blasi and Sam Witt, the conference served as a platform for intercultural dialogue, bringing together the Portuguese community and the migrant and international population in an exchange of ideas about the future of technology in contemporary writing.
