The Lisbon City Foundation continues its mission to promote social inclusion in the parish of Alvalade with the launch of the ‘Tod@s IN na Comunidade’ (Everyone IN the Community) project, funded by the BIP/ZIP Lisbon 2025-2028 Programme. The initiative, which runs from 11 September 2025 to 11 September 2028, represents the next stage in a journey that began in 2020 with the “Tod@sON – socio-educational support in a crisis context‘ and in 2024 with the ’Tod@s IN em Alvalade” project, focused on the educational and social empowerment of children, young people and families in vulnerable situations in a post-pandemic context.

The new project expands the scope of the intervention and reinforces the Foundation’s presence in the territory, introducing a fourth activity dedicated to community intervention in the Murtas neighbourhood. The focus on proximity and the construction of collaborative networks remains a central element of the strategy, valuing education, training and citizen participation as drivers of social change.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and the development of personal, social and academic skills among children and young people, as well as empowering families and community agents.

Among the goals set are:

Training and monitoring of 45 volunteer tutors and 30 teachers;
2,500 hours of tutoring and 200 group activities for more than 1,000 children and young people;
Involvement of 80 families in monitoring and training sessions;
Creation of 30 artistic, cultural and participatory activities open to the community of Bairro das Murtas.

‘This project symbolises the continuity of a collective effort that believes in the strength of the community and the importance of education as a basis for social transformation,’ emphasises the project coordination team.

This new stage of the project thus reinforces the City of Lisbon Foundation’s commitment to the sustainable development of the Alvalade area through concrete actions that promote education, citizenship and community integration. We believe that it is through networking and proximity to people that lasting and effective responses are built.
