Panel 1 – Specific Needs was moderated by Dr Eugénia Leitão from Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (UDIP Alta de Lisboa) and included contributions from the Local Early Intervention Team Lisbon North, Angel’s Triumph Association and Casa Pia de Lisboa – CED António Aurélio da Costa Ferreira.
Panel 2 – NEET Young People was moderated by Dr Pedro Capela from the Escola Técnica Psicossocial de Lisboa (ETPL) and featured contributions from E2O – Escola de Segunda Oportunidade de Santa Clara, E2O – Escola de Segunda Oportunidade de Valongo and Junior Achievement Portugal (JAP).
Panel 3 – Migration and Interculturality was moderated by Dr Marta Boa-Alma from Associação Raízes and included presentations of the Passage, Language Buddy and Voices of Migration projects from Casa do Professor, as well as Fundação Cidade de Lisboa (Academia CV.pt) and Agrupamento de Escolas Patrício Prazeres.
Panel 4 – Identity and Gender was moderated by Dr Nuno Ventura from the Agrupamento de Escolas do Alto do Lumiar and included contributions from AMPLOS – Associação de Mães e Pais pela Liberdade de Orientação Sexual e Identidade de Género and the Comissão para a Cidadania e a Igualdade de Género (CIG).
The event welcomed 169 participants, 142 of whom took part in the final evaluation activity. Of these, 94% rated the seminar positively.
The seminar concluded with a musical performance by Year 4A from Escola Básica Eurico Gonçalves, who performed three songs on inclusion and diversity, composed and performed by the pupils together with their teacher, Lina Mendes.
This seminar represented a meaningful opportunity to share experiences, discuss good practice and identify solutions to challenges within the school community, reinforcing a commitment to inclusion and social justice.
