Professor António Carmona Rodrigues, president of the Fundação Cidade de Lisboa, was a guest speaker at the XXVII Conferência da Associação de Supervisores de Seguros Lusófonos (ASEL), dedicated to the challenges of micro-mobility.
The XXVII Conferência da Associação de Supervisores de Seguros Lusófonos (ASEL) is organised by the Autoridade de Supervisão de Seguros e Fundos de Pensões (ASF) and took place on 3 October in Auditorium 3 of the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, in Lisbon.
Integrated into the 20.ª Assembleia Geral da ASEL, which took place this year in Lisbon on 2 October 2023, the XXVII Conferência was dedicated to the protection mechanisms for road accident victims in Lusophone jurisdictions, the national compulsory motor vehicle civil liability insurance regime (SORCA), and the challenges of micro-mobility—relevant themes for the development of insurance activity and its respective regulation and supervision in Lusophone markets.
ASF is a founding member of ASEL and has been performing the Secretariat function of this Association since its constitution, contributing to the exchange of information, knowledge, and experience among its members.
In addition to ASF, the members of ASEL include the Agência Angolana de Regulação e Supervisão de Seguros (ARSEG), the Superintendência de Seguros Privados (SUSEP) of Brazil, the Banco de Cabo Verde (BCV), the Autoridade Monetária de Macau (AMCM), the Instituto de Supervisão de Seguros de Moçambique (ISSM), the Banco Central de S. Tomé e Príncipe (BCSTP), and the Banco Central de Timor-Leste (BCTL).
