On 20 March, the writer Richard Zenith led this discussion on the work of Fernando Pessoa and its relationship with the city of Lisbon.

After highlighting Lisbon’s presence in Pessoa’s work, the author spoke in greater detail about *Lisboa: What the Tourist Should See*, a tourist guide written in 1926, found amongst the papers left by the poet and first published in 1992. Was Pessoa really its author? The question remains as to whether his intention was to produce a guide for tourists, whether this work was a commissioned piece, or whether he sought to highlight and dignify Portugal’s cultural heritage.

Following the presentation, the writer answered numerous questions about the life and work of the Portuguese writer and inventor of heteronyms, responding to the interest and curiosity of the participants.
