Acolhimento de peregrinos das Jornadas Mundiais da Juventude na Fundação Cidade de Lisboa

The Fundação Cidade de Lisboa (FCL) served as a host organisation for pilgrims during World Youth Day, in partnership with the parish of Campo Grande. Pilgrims from Mongolia, France, Poland, Spain, South Korea and Costa Rica stayed at the FCL.

The Fundação Cidade de Lisboa acknowledges the work of the volunteers at World Youth Day, in particular the fantastic team responsible for supporting and organising the pilgrims who were accommodated at the Foundation.

Since its inception, the Fundação Cidade de Lisboa has been a welcoming and supportive home for people of different nationalities, promoting intercultural and interreligious dialogue.

As Pope Francis notes (Encyclical Fratelli tutti (2020), 271): dialogue between people of different religions is not achieved solely through diplomacy, kindness or tolerance. As the bishops of India have taught, ‘the aim of dialogue is to establish friendship, peace and harmony, and to share moral and spiritual values and experiences in an attitude of truth and love’.
