The Lisbon City Foundation (FCL) celebrates the renewed funding of its Local Support Centre for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM). Guaranteed by the FAMI – Fund for Asylum, Migration and Integration until December 2026, this funding consolidates the national network of CLAIMs, in which FCL has participated since 2014 in a renewal of the support that takes place within the scope of the fourth edition of the “Passport to Citizenship” project.

CLAIM is a crucial reference point for the integration of migrants in Lisbon, offering personalised assistance and referrals to essential services.

In addition to regular consultations, the Passport to Citizenship IV project will bring a range of new activities, including training and mentoring sessions, the creation of digital resources to support the integration of migrants and refugees, and awareness-raising actions to promote intercultural dialogue. These initiatives aim to facilitate access to fundamental rights and services, but also to strengthen the active participation of migrants in the Portuguese society.

This project is co-financed by FAMI, with funds from the European Union, and by AIMA – Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum, through the State Budget, reinforcing Portugal’s commitment to promoting integration and cultural diversity.

With this renewal, FCL continues to play a vital role in promoting inclusive and sustainable integration, ensuring that migrants have access to the opportunities and services necessary for their full participation in society.
