From December 9th to 13th, the Lisbon City Foundation hosted the second edition of the Mediation and Intercultural Dialogue course. This 5-days program aimed to develop essential skills for effective intercultural mediation and dialogue, promoting meaningful connections among 11 participants from Italy and Belgium, many of whom were adult education teachers.

The course emphasized peer-learning and competence-building through interactive activities, role-playing, and group discussions. Participants explored concepts like interculturality, cultural identity, and conflict resolution, creating a vibrant and collaborative learning environment.

Highlights included a visit to the Associação Renovar a Mouraria and the participation in a guided Migrantour, offering a firsthand experience of Lisbon’s multicultural richness. These activities showcased the practical applications of intercultural mediation in real-world settings.

Participants rated the course an outstanding 4.9 out of 5, reflecting their satisfaction with the program’s content, methodology, and overall experience.

This course is fully funded by the Erasmus+ KA1 program, which covers 100% of the costs, making it accessible to all participants. Erasmus+ KA1 supports the professional development of educators and professionals working in adult education and intercultural fields.
