What for?
General Objective: to contribute to the socio-educational development and integration of vulnerable migrant children and young people in schools in the municipality of Lisbon
Specific Objectives: 1) To empower educational communities to support the integration and socio-educational development of immigrant students; 2) Increase the motivation and academic success of migrant students by improving their communication skills in Portuguese and their personal and social development; 3) Raise awareness (among students, volunteers and the community) of issues of interculturality and global citizenship by encouraging the exercise of active citizenship.
For whom?
This initiative works directly with educational communities (students, teachers, coordinators, families and the community) in the Lisbon area to support immigrant students in terms of communication in Portuguese and their integration into the school environment, in kindergarten and primary school.

120 volunteers recruited and trained
60 strategic actors trained to intervene in intercultural contexts
How?
Main Activities:
Activity 1 – Develop a scientifically validated educational kit for the integration of migrant students.
Activity 2 – Train teachers and strategic actors in school communities.
Activity 3 – Train a network of ACV.pt facilitators.
Activity 4 – Promote tutoring and raise awareness of interculturality.
Activity 5 – Disseminate the ACV.pt Programme (methodology and resources).
